A plain-language summary of what 3search Portfolio does with your data.
What we store
When you sign in with Discord we store your Discord id, name, email address and avatar, and the Discord sign-in tokens we need to keep you signed in. For each session we store the IP address and browser user agent, for security. We also store the base currency you choose and the portfolio data you enter yourself: accounts, transactions, notes, allocation targets and settings.
Why
Only to show you your portfolio. We do not use your data for anything else.
Who can see it
Only you. The server administrators technically have access to the database, but there is no admin view of anyone's portfolio.
Where it lives
On our own server. We take daily encrypted backups. Copies on the server are kept for 14 days and off-site copies for up to 30 days, after which they are deleted.
Third parties
Discord is used for sign-in and to check that you hold the Inner Circle role. Price data is fetched from CoinGecko, Yahoo Finance and the European Central Bank without sending any of your personal data. Crypto logos come from CoinGecko's image servers and stock and ETF logos from Logo.dev; both are loaded by your browser.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in Settings. Everything we hold about you is then removed. Backups of your data are deleted on the schedule above (14 days on the server, up to 30 days off-site).
